Conference Programme

The programme comprised three plenary sessions animated by various representatives of European coastal and marine stakeholders. Each session was concluded by a discussion and identification of key priorities to act, challenges and opportunities to better manage Europe's coastline in the coming decade.

All participants were encouraged to provide feedback on the preparation of the OURCOAST Common Vision, challenges and responsibilities in the coastal areas, setting up action by everybody as result of the conference.

  Session 1 addresses climate change, natural and technological hazards as well as risk prevention. It follows the first OURCOAST policy objective with its 3 Themes.

  Session 2 addresses preserving the coastal and marine environment, as well as sound use of resources and promotion of less resource intensive processes/products. It follows the second OURCOAST policy objective with its 2 Themes.
